Two new courses have been created for those of you interested in learning more about Moodle.  Both courses are now available in the Viking Academy course category.

The first course, Exploring Moodle Modules, provides a tour of the many modules available within Moodle.  Each topic in the course comes complete with a description of the module and related activities.  Modules include: Assignments, Chats, Forums, Choices, Workshops, Dialogues, Surveys and more.

The Scratch Zone--A Place for Teachers to Play is the second course.  This course is designed to allow Moodlers to experiment with the different Moodle modules from the teacher's perspective.  If you are considering creating a course within Moodle, this course provides a place to test your ideas before committing to your own course. And if you already have your own Moodle course, you can use this course to experiment without risk.

If you are interested in a face-to-face learning experience, Moodle classes are offered periodically as Viking Academies.  Look for "Use Your Noodle--Learn Moodle" on the Class Calendar at

I think that it is a good idea, and will help a lot with moodle. It will also cause less complications for first timers.

This is a very good idea for new Gen-Ys like me because it talks about things that we have'nt talked about in class!
